Founded in 1973 by Keizo Saji, Suntory founder’s son, Hakushu Distillery is located at the foot of Mount Kaikomagatake the heart of a lush preserved forest.
Several awards at international competitions, Hakushu 18 year old surprised by its freshness, finesse and its typical japanese style. The intense flowery aromas and the fresh and lightly smoked are the result of long aging period in oak barrels and will appeal to lovers and novices alike.
This whisky can be enjoyed as an aperitif or digestif after a meal.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Very thick with notes of cut grass, orange blossom, manuka honey, apple peel, calves leather and almond.
Palate: Oaky with notes of custard, syrup, stem ginger, bramble leaves, watermelon, hints of cut hay and pine resin.
Finish: Good length with notes of sour lemon sweets, dry oak and caramel.
